    Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Burlingame, California

    Job Details

    • Unit: ICU Float
    • Float Requirements: Must float to ICU, SDICU, Telemetry, and Med Surg inpatient units
    • Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend
    • On-call: No on-call requirement

    Experience & Licensure Requirements

    • Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years in nursing specialty
    • Licensure: California RN License required
    • Certifications:
      • BLS (AHA or ARC)
      • ACLS (AHA or ARC)
      • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
    • Additional Certifications (position-dependent):
      • CCRN (Critical Care RN)
      • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
      • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
      • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
      • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
      • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
      • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
      • IV Certification (if applicable)

    Background & Screening Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List, Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List (as applicable)
    • Education verification with preference for Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
    • References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)
    • Employment history: Full 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days; verification required

    Health & Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work)
    • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Immunizations and/or titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
      • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
      • Hepatitis B series or declination
      • Varicella immunity or vaccination
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
    • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months
    • Color blindness exam (in-person, if applicable)
    • Respiratory safety clearance (annual)

    Competency Exams

    • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required for some units
    • ICU RNs may be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start

    Facility-Specific Requirements

    • Passport-style photo for badge
    • Review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreement, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start
    • TB screening questionnaire within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Religious exemption forms available for PAPR use and certain vaccine requirements (Tdap, MMR, Varicella)

    • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
