Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Voorhees, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW)
  • Block scheduling is NOT allowed
  • Float requirement: Must be willing to float within 5 hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
  • First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)

Experience & Certifications Required

  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience (highest requirement found)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required for certain units (IR, RRT, ER, ICU, PACU, L&D, TELE)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) required for L&D, Mother Baby, NICU, SCN, CRT (if applicable)
  • Other certifications and competencies may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, Dysrhythmia testing)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Proof of I9 or Attestation
  • Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • E-Verify documentation
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • State RN license verification and NURSYS verification
  • Physical exam within last 12 months
  • Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for positive responders)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Drug testing: 10 panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31 (with detailed documentation)
  • Eye exam (visual acuity 20/40 or better)
  • Latex questionnaire

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within last 2 years
  • Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Work history verification required for all New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date verified, allowing 30-day gaps or less)

Notes

  • Candidates must be able to pass a dysrhythmia competency test within 72 hours of assignment (two attempts allowed) for certain units
  • Candidates cannot start if certifications are expiring within 30 days of contract start date
  • Local rate adjustment applies for candidates living within 50 miles of the hospital (not included here)

This position is ideal for Registered Nurses with at least 2 years of experience who are flexible with floating across multiple hospital locations and meet the required certifications and compliance documentation. First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
