Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts, every other weekend

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience (higher value confirmed)
• Skills:

  • Strong CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) skills required
  • Will float to IMCU (stepdown unit) if needed
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Wisconsin/Compact Nursing License required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS)
• References:

  • 2 supervisor references within the last year required, including one from the most recent/current assignment

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• State-specific caregiver screening for Wisconsin
• Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
• Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be completed

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (no TSpot/PPD accepted) or negative chest X-ray within 60 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 14 days before start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color blind testing if working in dialysis/kidney center
• Annual skills checklist

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Must have current certifications at time of submission.
• Candidate cannot start with references pending for inpatient RN roles without VP approval, which may delay clearance.
