Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: San Francisco, California

Job Description & Requirements
- Licenses & Certifications:
- California RN License
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience required
- 4 years ICU experience preferred (use 4 years as requirement)
- Shift:
- 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- No on-call duties
- Weekend rotation required
- Additional:
- Floating as needed
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including:
- Social Security trace with all aliases
- County searches for last 7 years
- Nationwide sex offender search (within 90 days of start)
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- FACIS Level 3 screening within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, updated annually
- Motor Vehicle Report if applicable (driving positions only)
- Transcript/Diploma verification may be required, especially for international education
- Pending background check attestation not accepted at this facility
Certifications & Competencies
- Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification
- Additional Certifications (verify by position):
- PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, CPI, IV Certification (if applicable)
- Competency Exams:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required
- ICU RNs may be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear for work)
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (exceptions apply)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B series or declination signed
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)
Documentation & Compliance
- Full 7 years of work history required on application with no gaps
- Unit-specific skills checklist required, renewed annually
- References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement only)
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including:
- Job description
- Standards of business conduct
- Code of conduct
- Vendor training
- Overpayment refund policy
- TB questionnaire (within 90 days, renewed annually)
- Religious exemption forms available for certain vaccine and PAPR requirements
