Job Description

Required Experience

• Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical

• Influenza Vaccine: Required or facility-specific declination form (mask required if declined)
• TB Test: Recent testing required with specific guidelines; annual requirement
• Varicella: Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required
• Tdap: Preferred but not required (within last 10 years) or declination form
• Physical/Health Statement: Within last 12 months, including vitals and vision screening

Professional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific skills checklist for assigned unit (updated annually)
• Passing score (80% or higher) on Core Competency Exams (Nursing Core Comp I, II, III)
• Valid US Driver’s License or State ID (not expired)
• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days of start, including multiple county and national checks
• Drug Screen: Must be completed within 30 days of start; marijuana testing prohibited per state regulations
• Resume: Detailed employment and education history for last 7 years
• Two Professional References: One supervisor reference from last 12 months, one supervisor or peer reference from last 3 years
• Signed Job Description and Employment Verification of most recent employer
• Completion of facility-required forms and acknowledgments (Code of Conduct, Sexual Harassment Acknowledgement, etc.)
• Color headshot photo (professional, no filters)

Additional Notes

• Facility requires annual completion of certain trainings and documentation for extended travelers
• Facility-specific onboarding documents and quizzes must be completed prior to start

This position is suitable for experienced Med/Surg RNs who meet the certification and health requirements and are comfortable working in a stroke unit and telemetry setting.
