Description
Job Opportunity: RN ICU (Travel)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Every other weekend
- No call
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- License/Certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
- Driver's License/State ID (must be valid and meet address requirements)
Required Exams & Competencies
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out (Checklist/Testing)
- Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Color Vision (updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score, updated yearly)
- NIH Certification (Group A yearly, Groups B-F every 2 years)
- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80% passing score)
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, updated annually)
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
Required Health & Immunization Documentation
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test: Annual respiratory fit test required (preferred prior to start)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions require mask wearing
- TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Health Statement: Completed physical exam or statement of good health prior to first assignment, updated annually
Background & Verification Requirements
- Ascension Criminal Background Check (including SSN Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender) within 30 days prior to start
- Ascension EPLS (Exclusionary Provider List System) check within 90 days prior to start
- Ascension Education Verification within 90 days prior to start
- Ascension Employment Verification (past 7 years)
- Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile)
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
Onboarding & Training Requirements
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Nova StatStrip (pre-hire modules for non-allied positions)
- CPI/MOAB High Risk Online Portion (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course) prior to start
- CPI/MOAB High Risk On-Site Portion (completed at orientation)
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment (provided upon initial assignment and updates)
- Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
