Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Accepts CRT or RRT credentials
- Must have 2 years of experience in the specialty (higher requirement confirmed)
- Must hold an Ohio RRT license at time of submission
- NBRC certification and AHA BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Work schedule: 8 or 12 week contracts, weekends as needed, may float within respiratory facilities
- All prior work history, including any Cleveland Clinic positions, must be included in the profile
Certifications & Licenses Required
- Ohio RRT License (mandatory)
- NBRC Certification (CRT or RRT candidates)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only; AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for RRT in Emergency Department
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required for RRT-NICU
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required for RRT-NICU
- HIPAA Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (updated annually)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area to the assignment
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (cannot pend at start)
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprint attestation required
- Transcript/Diploma verification required
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
Health & Safety Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved masks listed)
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
- TB questionnaire if history of positive TB test
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually; instant drug screens not accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
Additional Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required; updated annually
- Application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care setting
- Online training modules (4-5 hours) must be completed prior to start on a computer using Chrome browser; cannot be completed on phone
- Valid government-issued photo ID must be carried while on assignment
- Badge photo required prior to start; badge must be obtained from facility after completing modules
Notes
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements
- Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
- All required certifications and documents must be uploaded with submission
