Travel RN Opportunity – Med Surg & Tele Short Stay

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM), 4 shifts per week (48 hours guaranteed)
Weekend Requirement: Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) expected
Holidays: Must work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Time Off: Up to 5 days off per 13-week contract automatically approved; additional time off requires approval and may need to be made up

Position Details

• Specialty: Med Surg & Tele Short Stay
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications Required: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS
• Float Requirements: Float as needed/customary upon request
• Patient Population: Adults only, approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry patients
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4-6 patients per nurse
• EMR System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

• Unit: Med Surg / Telemetry Short Stay (7E Floor)
• Equipment: Standard nursing equipment for telemetry unit
• Work Culture: Team player with strong communication skills, focused on positive patient outcomes
• Job Functions:

  • Direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Coordination with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
  • Adherence to Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Manager interviews all candidates within 24 hours of offer; final approval required
• Weekly guaranteed hours can be 36 or 48 based on candidate preference
