Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Glens Falls, New York
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Primarily caring for adult to geriatric patients on a Telemetry/Cardiac unit
• Unit size: 16 beds
• RN to patient ratio: 4:1
• Remote Tele Unit
• Must be able to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color (no designs, cartoons, or hoodies)

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Strong proficiency and experience working on Cardiac/Telemetry and Med-Tele units
• Epic experience is mandatory
• Neuro/stroke experience highly preferred
• Prior travel experience highly preferred (not strictly required)
• Must have a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate
• Must have own reliable vehicle
• Reliable attendance and professionalism required (no attendance concerns or call-outs)
• Must be comfortable following department expectations for cardiac rhythm documentation
• No block scheduling will be considered
• Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Must complete onboarding training from approved providers (e.g., Welle or CPI) as of 1/1/2024
• COVID vaccinations encouraged but not required

Compliance & Documentation

• Current NY RN license, ACLS, BLS certifications must be uploaded with profile
• Permanent address must be included and match driver’s license/state ID; address will be validated
• Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Travelers from certain NY counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington) will not be considered

Additional Information

• Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at submission; no more than 5 days allowed
• Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts during the 13-week contract with 2 hours’ notice
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• Call and charge nurse responsibilities are not applicable for this position
