Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shift (12N)
• Schedule: Every other holiday and every other weekend commitment
• Dress Code: Navy blue
• Note: Traveler RNs are the first to float if needed

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association only) – Required for onboarding
• State Nursing License Verification – Must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Driver's License or State ID – Valid, current, and unexpired US driver’s license or ID required

Required Professional Credentials

• Arnot Skills Checklist – Must be fully complete and updated annually for the unit assigned
• Arnot Core Competency Exam – Must score 80% or higher on Core Comp I, II (Nursing), and III for RNs
• Arnot Resume – Must account for all employment and gaps from the last 7 years, including education history
• 2 Professional References – One supervisor reference from employment within the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer reference from employment within the last 3 years
• Employment Verification – Verification of most recent employer required (agency verifications count)
• Job Description – Signed and dated
• Background Check – Must be run within 30 days of start, including national and county criminal searches, FACIS 3 check, SSN address trace, and all aliases
• Drug Screen – Must be run within 30 days of start; testing excludes marijuana per New York state regulations
• Color Headshot – Straightforward photo with solid background, no filters or sunglasses, JPEG format
• Additional Required Forms – Various onboarding forms including code of conduct, confirmation of assignment, self-study packet and quiz, sexual harassment acknowledgement, parking registration, and others as found in the document library

Required Personal Health History and Immunizations

• COVID-19 Vaccine – Optional; upload proof or agency declination
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required; must show results for each component
• Varicella – Positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series required; must show results
• Hepatitis B – Positive antibody titer, 3 vaccine series, or specific declination form required
• Influenza Vaccine – Required or specific declination form; if declined, mask must be worn at all times on assignment
• Tdap – Preferred but not required; if no record, specific declination form required
• TB Test – Annual requirement; must have one of the following:

  • Two skin PPDs (one within 12 months, one within 3 months)
  • One Quantiferon or Spot test within 12 months
  • For past positives, chest X-ray within 12 months may be required
• Fit Test – Annual requirement; must be completed prior to start using approved mask models; on-site fit testing available if needed
• Physical/Health Statement – Must be from within the last 12 months, include physician credentials, vitals, height, weight, Snellen eye chart, and a statement of clearance with no restrictions
