Position Details

Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (must be specified on submission)
Number of Openings: 1
Weekend Hours: As required, typically every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As needed to similar or lower acuity units

Licensure & Certifications

Required Licensure: Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
Required Certifications: BLS (AHA only)
Preferred Certifications: ACLS (AHA only)

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Medical-Surgical, inpatient only
Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Patient Ratios: 1:5 or 1:6
Equipment Used: Bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, wound vacs
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Job Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize comfort and outcomes
Utilize nursing process consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers
Perform duties aligned with facility mission, values, and service standards

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Stand and walk most of the shift
Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs
May work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care needs
Exposure to blood and body fluids is a high risk

Dress Code

Scrub color: Black only
No other attire permitted
