Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC
Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Nursing Home attached to hospital
- 70 beds/residents, majority private

Patient Population
- Dementia
- Frail, elderly
- Rehabilitation
Job Duties
- Charting and assessments
- Charge nurse duties
- Medication administration
- Clinical skills including IVs, catheters, ostomy care
Staffing Ratios
- RN: 1:20
- LPN: 1:20
- CNA: 1:8
Work Environment
- No telemetry monitors or RN strip reading required
- Interdisciplinary team includes therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, housekeeping
- RT on-site 24/7
- Pharmacy on-site with medication dispensing system
Scheduling
- Block schedule, 8-hour shifts
- Day/PM shifts: 4 nurses, 7 aides
- Night shifts: 2 nurses, 3-4 aides
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: available for at least half of holidays during assignment
- No on-call or standby required
- Floating required
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required for Wisconsin
- BLS (AHA) certification required
Experience Requirements
- Experience working with elderly patients required
- Must be skilled in IV therapy and other clinical skills listed
Additional Notes
- Must clock in and out at the facility
- Dress code: any solid color, clean and professional
- Orientation varies based on skills
- If previously worked at this facility, must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission
This position is suitable for RNs with experience in long-term care and elderly patient populations, comfortable with clinical skills such as IVs and catheter care, and able to work a block schedule including weekends and holidays.
