Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Rotation includes every other week (EOW) and holiday shifts (holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day included in contract).
  • Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • License: Valid RN license for Iowa.
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Required for RNs in critical care areas.
    • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Fit Test (respiratory protection) required.
    • Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (includes cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, PCP, benzodiazepines, methadone, and others; no THC).
    • COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of booster, declination or exemption accepted except in CA or IL).
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series (titers not accepted).
    • Influenza Vaccine (seasonal, with declination or exemption accepted except in CA or IL).
    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB test) with chest x-ray if positive.
    • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
    • Tdap vaccination (declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction).
    • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Criminal background checks (Federal, Nationwide, County for last 7 years) including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
  • Drug and health screenings as noted above.
  • Various Trinity Health compliance forms and agreements (Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Integrity and Audit Services, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, etc.) must be signed and on file.
  • Education verification (highest level of academic education).
  • Screening for exclusions (OIG, EPLS, GSA).
  • National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days of start.
  • Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry checks.
  • Trinity Skills Checklist and Specialty Specific Competency Testing required.
  • Trinity Joint Commission Testing (CORE Exam) within the last year.
  • Trinity System Access Form to be completed and uploaded one week before start.
