Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN Step Down)

Location: Elmira, New York

Job Description

• Patient care in Step Down unit
• Tasks include ACLS, pushing, pulling, lifting, medication administration, assessments, and care plans
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • Step Down: 3:1
  • Day shift: 5:1
  • Night shift: 7:1
• Emphasis on communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Valid New York RN license (State License Verification required)

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• 8 Hours of Stroke Training (including NIHSS)
• Arnot Skills Checklist (unit-specific, updated annually)
• Arnot Core Competency Exam (must score 80% or higher)

Health & Safety Requirements
