Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
Facility Department: Respiratory Therapy
Number of Openings: 5
Shift: 3 day shifts (7a-7p), 2 night shifts (7p-7a)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Alternating
Call Requirements: Possible
Patient Population: All (geriatric, adult, pediatric)
Equipment Used: Ventilators (Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1), Bipaps (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, High flow (Optiflow), MetaNebs, Vest, Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas analyzers
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
NRP certification
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
