Job Opportunity: RN - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry (Travel)
Location: West Burlington, Iowa

Job Description
- Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Deliver high-quality care to Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry patient populations.
- Positions available on Medical Surgical Unit and Telemetry Unit.
- Must self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance; a basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week and must be passed to work on the Telemetry/Med Surg unit.
- Estimated work week: 36 hours with possible overtime.
- ACLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa.
- Specialty: Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years in specialty based on typical MedSurg/Telemetry requirements.
- Prior travel experience: Not required.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification (American Heart Association or Apex Innovations only).
- Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment.
Immunizations and Health Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine (declination accepted).
- Influenza Vaccine (or facility declination accepted; due annually by December 1).
- MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal).
- Hepatitis B (2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal).
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; 1 booster or declination if low/equivocal).
- Tdap (valid for 10 years; declinations accepted).
- TB Test (negative test within past year or documentation if history of positive test).
- Fit Test for acceptable masks/respirators (completed prior to start).
- Health Statement (physician statement within last 12 months).
- Drug Screen (9 panel within 30 days of start).
- OSHA Questionnaire.
- Color Vision test.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
- Background Check including Adult and Child Abuse registry checks.
- Education Verification (highest level applicable to RN).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start.
- Skills Checklist (completed within 12 months).
- Professional References (2 required, 1 must be from a supervisor).
- Resume/Profile submission.
- I-9 Attestation.
- Contract Employee Data Sheet.
- Evergreen Link acknowledgment within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
- NSO and OFAC checks within 30 days of start.
