Job Opportunity: Emergency Department RN (Night Shift)

Location: Greenbrae, California
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Night and Evening shifts, 12-hour shifts (start times vary: 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 7:00 PM)
Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma Center, STEMI and Stroke Receiving Center
Patient Volume: 31 beds with 5 resuscitation bays, average daily volume 100+ patients, 15% pediatric
Orientation week is not subject to 36-hour guarantee

Required Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications:
- RN license for California
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred
Experience:
- Must have experience in trauma nursing
- Good knowledge of pediatric population

Additional Information

Up to 36 hours of on-call availability may be required during the assignment
Candidates must be able to start within 2 weeks of the requested start date

Cons

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
