Description

Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Southfield, Michigan
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Job Summary

Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gases therapy to patients.
Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs.
Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, respiratory orients, externs, and students as assigned.
Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan.
Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
