Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with specialty in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry to provide direct patient care. This is a travel assignment requiring flexibility for night shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for Iowa.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing (based on specialty requirement).
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association certification required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - required for critical care areas.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
  • Fit Test (for respiratory protection).
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of vaccination, booster, declination, or exemption as applicable).
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or proof of immunity.
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement).
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof.
  • Tdap vaccination or declination (required unless no pediatric interaction).
  • Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (within last year).
• Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
• Background Checks: Federal, state, and county criminal background checks within last 7 years, including sex offender and abuse registries as applicable.
• Additional Professional Requirements:

  • License/Certificate verification dated within 30 days of start.
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
  • Skills checklist and professional references.
  • Various professional forms and disclosures required prior to start.

Additional Information

• Must upload scanned copies of all required certifications and verifications.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Compliance with confidentiality, code of conduct, and security agreements is mandatory.
• Drug screen and background checks must be current and completed before start date.
