Job Description

Critical Care Registered Nurses provide specialized care for patients experiencing severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
Assisting physicians with procedures
Monitoring and recording vital signs
Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment
Administering intravenous fluids and medications
Suctioning and airway management
Collaborating with the critical care team
Responding to life-saving situations using nursing protocols
Acting as patient advocate
Educating and supporting patient families
Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
Some may perform case management, policy making, or administrative duties

Contract Length

12 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is relevant
Must be prepared to provide documentation of certifications and licensure upon submission
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
