Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Position Details

• Specialty: Progressive Care / Critical Care
• Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM (4 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
• Weekly Hours: 48 guaranteed
• Number of Openings: 4
• Patient Population: Adults, approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry patients
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4-6 patients per nurse
• Unit Type: Stepdown ICU / Progressive Care Unit
• Equipment: Standard nursing equipment for telemetry unit
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
• Float Requirements: Float as needed/customary upon request
• Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and EKG interpretation
• Experience with tracheostomies
• Ability to work in ICU and stepdown settings
• Strong communication skills and team player attitude
• Commitment to positive patient outcomes

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
