Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Staff RN
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
The Cath Lab RN is a vital member of the patient care team in the cardiac catheterization department. This role involves collaborating closely with other care team members to ensure continuity of care. The RN promotes patient- and family-centered care in all interactions and focuses on understanding and meeting customer needs.
- Shift options: either 3 x 12-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Possible weeknight, weekend, and holiday call during the contract (no weekend or holiday worked shifts guaranteed)
- Expect 1-2 weeknight calls total and possibly 1 weekend call during the 13-week contract (not guaranteed)
Required Experience and Education
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for onboarding.
Additional Requirements
- Fit Test for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
- Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity or vaccination
- TB test within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days of start date
- Passing medication exam (80% or higher) within 365 days
- Criminal background checks, including state and national registries, within required timeframes
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
- Education verification of highest degree achieved
- Social Security Number trace and exclusion checks as required
