Job Opportunity: RN ICU
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Environment
- Every other weekend
- No on-call duties
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner OneChart
- Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
- ICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding & Testing Requirements
- Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
- Specialty exam demonstrating competency in ICU nursing (minimum 80% passing score; updated every 3 years)
- Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80% passing score; updated every 3 years)
- EKG exam with passing score of at least 80% (updated every 3 years)
- Color vision test (updated every 3 years)
- Skills checklist for ICU nursing (completed within one year of start; updated annually)
- Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start; updated annually)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Two doses of Varicella vaccine or serological evidence of immunity (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing prior to start; annual TB questionnaire updates
- 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
Documentation & Verification
- Resume/profile submission required
- At least two professional references required
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days prior to start; updated annually
- Employment verification for past seven years; updated annually
- Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
- Driver’s license or state ID (must not be expired and address must match requirements)
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background)
Additional Notes
- Some optional checklists and evaluations may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding
- All required documents and certifications must be current and compliant with facility policies prior to assignment start
