Registered Nurse - NICU (Los Angeles, California)

Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current California RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification (required for NICU, must be on file within 30 days of start)
- Fire Card issued by an LAFD-approved instructor (must be obtained within 30 days of start)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, EFM)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Standard background checks including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/school
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Education verification (transcript, diploma, or equivalent)
- Sex offender search
- Employment application and professional references (2 professional references for travel/acute care)
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, etc.)
- Facility-specific attestations and agreements (e.g., de-escalation modules, arbitration agreement, assault responsive competency)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam clearance within the past year
- Fit testing for approved masks within 12 months prior to start
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination series
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series (or declination with proof)
- Varicella immunity or vaccination series
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster or declination documentation
- TB questionnaire within 14 days of start
Additional Notes
- Candidates will be required to complete orientation checklists within the first 30 days of assignment
- Some certifications (e.g., Maternal Fetal Triage Index, Assault Responsive Competency) must be obtained within 30 days of start
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
