    Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Nurse

    Location: Burlingame, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    Seeking a Cath Lab Nurse proficient in:

    • Diagnostic cath lab procedures
    • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
    • Structural heart procedures
    • Electrophysiology

    Shift:

    • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (09:00 - 17:30)
    • Variable start times between 07:30 and 10:00 AM
    • Weekend call required

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California (copy of professional license required)
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab RN, including experience within the last year
    • Proficiency in diagnostic cath lab procedures, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), structural heart procedures, and electrophysiology
    • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • PALS certification
    • CCRN certification
    • TNCC certification
    • Tech Cert Verification - National
    • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training
    • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
    • CPI certification

    Background & Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
    • Various federal and state screenings (e.g., EPLS, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3) required and updated annually
    • Education verification with official transcripts/diplomas as needed
    • TB screening questionnaire and negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Drug screening (9-panel, excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law) within 6 months of start
    • Immunizations and/or titers required:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
      • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
      • Varicella
      • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
    • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
    • Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start

    Additional Requirements

    • Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps in employment over 30 days
    • Professional references required (2 for clinical roles)
    • Unit-specific skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
    • Photo for badge (passport-style) required
