Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Nurse
Location: Burlingame, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a Cath Lab Nurse proficient in:
- Diagnostic cath lab procedures
- Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Structural heart procedures
- Electrophysiology
Shift:
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (09:00 - 17:30)
- Variable start times between 07:30 and 10:00 AM
- Weekend call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
- Various federal and state screenings (e.g., EPLS, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3) required and updated annually
- Education verification with official transcripts/diplomas as needed
- TB screening questionnaire and negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug screening (9-panel, excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law) within 6 months of start
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (specific mask types required)
- Various facility-specific documents and attestations must be reviewed and signed prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps in employment over 30 days
- Professional references required (2 for clinical roles)
- Unit-specific skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
- Photo for badge (passport-style) required
