Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
- Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (must be specified on submission)
- Weekend Hours: As required, typically every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: As needed to similar or lower acuity units
- Patient Care: Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups. Coordinates care with ancillary departments.
- Documentation: Utilizes nursing process and maintains patient confidentiality and rights.
- Orientation: Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for full week orientation required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience in an inpatient setting within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk most of the shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
- Exposure to blood and body fluids
- May work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care needs

- Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations not accepted
- Dress code: Black scrubs only; no other attire permitted
- Patient ratios and unit equipment vary
- EMR system used: EPIC
