Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR RN (Registered Nurse)
Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
- Shift times vary between 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM and 10:45 AM - 7:00 PM
- Some on-call and call-back required: approximately 2-3 days per week depending on experience and case load
- On-call every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam
- Completion of Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening
- Completion of Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam
- Completion of Prime Skills Checklist
- Completion of Prime Specialty Exam
- DCI/BVP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Acute care hospital experience
Additional Onboarding Requirements
- Must pass various competency exams and screenings with a minimum score of 80% (including pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, core competencies, specialty exam, and skills checklist)
- Completion of sexual harassment prevention training (valid for 2 years)
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including:
- COVID-19 vaccine series plus booster or declination
- MMR (proof of immunity)
- Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
- Influenza vaccine (declinations not accepted during flu season)
- TB test within one year of start date
- Varicella immunity
- Tdap vaccine as an adult (declinations not accepted)
- Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
- Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work
- National criminal background check within one year of start date
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC saliva test for California) within 60 days of start
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
- Submission of updated resume and two professional references (one from a manager or direct supervisor)
- Completion of employment eligibility verification (Form I-9)
- Clear photo ID badge photo (headshot with plain background)
