Job Opportunity: RN CVOR

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

• Rotating Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts (variable based on need and volume)
• Rotating call and rotating weekends based on department needs
• Holiday call hours based on need
• Must have 2 years of CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience
• If no CVOR cases available, traveler will be required to assist with general cases
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other nearby sites within 40 miles if needed
• Prior travel experience is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references
• Signed assignment agreement
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others as required
• Drug screening (12 panel) within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Health requirements including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (two vaccines or immunity verification, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA) and annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (specific mask types required)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to assignment and updated annually
• Completion of specialty and core competency exams with minimum passing scores
• Color vision test prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Skills checklist and unit-specific checklists as required
• Badge photo (headshot with white or blue background)

Additional Notes

• Must be able to provide a valid driver's license or state ID matching address requirements
• Must complete onboarding education and attestations as required
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules and float to other locations within a 40-mile radius if needed

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR nurses with prior travel experience who are flexible and able to work varied shifts and locations.
