Job Opportunity: RN Oncology
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Uniform: Ceil blue scrubs
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system used: Cerner OneChart
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Oncology nursing experience of at least 1 year within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Completion of core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics, and specialty-specific competencies with a minimum passing score of 80%
- Passing score on Cerner test-out exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Completion of unit-specific checklists and skills checklists updated annually
- Drug screening: 12-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
- Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and others within 30 days prior to start; updated annually or after breaks in service
- Employment and education verifications covering the past seven years
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Driver’s license or state ID (valid, not expired, matching address requirements)
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
Additional Notes
- Several onboarding modules and attestations must be completed prior to or at the start of the assignment
- Some training and documentation updates are required every 1-3 years depending on the credential
- This position uses Cerner OneChart EHR system
This role is suitable for experienced oncology RNs seeking a long-term assignment in Kansas with a structured onboarding and compliance process.
