Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)

Job Description

• Float pool assignment required.
• Must have recent experience with EPIC electronic health record system (within last 12 months).
• Resume must include EPIC usage; candidates without this will not be considered.
• Return to Office (RTO) documentation required at submission; maximum 7 days allowed. No RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
• Minimum of 2+ years recent RN experience required.
• Block schedules may be considered on a case-by-case basis; indicate if needed.
• Solid black scrubs required.
• Accredited nursing degree required (ACEN or CCNE accredited).
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med Surg / Telemetry, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Experience in Charge nurse roles

Health & Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required (2 doses if applicable); medical or religious exemptions considered case-by-case.
• MMR: Titer or 2 adult vaccines required; no declinations accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Titer or complete vaccine series required; signed declinations accepted.
• Influenza vaccine required October-April; medical or religious exemptions require agency approval.
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) required; no declinations accepted.
• Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines required; no declinations accepted.
• Tdap within 10 years recommended (optional).
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Fit test for N95 respirators required annually.
• Pre-employment physical within one year confirming ability to perform essential job functions.

Background & Screening

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Comprehensive criminal background check (7-year search, SSN trace, nationwide).
• OIG and EPLS federal exclusion checks within 90 days of start.
• Education verification through third-party.
• Valid government-issued photo ID required.
