Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Night Shift)

Location: Osage Beach, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week (3-12 hour shifts)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit Beds: 39 (24 Med Surg/Telemetry beds)
• Patient Population: Non-acute cardiac patients (e.g., pacemakers, potassium level monitoring)
• Float: May float to other Med Surg units within scope of practice
• Charting System: Meditech (experience highly preferred)
• Medication System: McKesson
• Scrub Color: Royal blue (not provided)
• Housing: Must secure own housing; affordable housing can be challenging, especially in summer

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience (higher value from description)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – can be obtained during placement if not current
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – can be obtained during placement if not current
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Telemetry experience is a plus but not required

Additional Notes

• Start date: ASAP
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Hospital may occasionally call off one shift for every 4 weeks worked (rare)
