Job Description

• This position is to cover maternity leaves from April through December.
• Work schedule includes 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long.
• Includes 1 weekday on-call shift from the end of the shift until 7 AM the next day.
• Includes 1 weekend on-call shift (Saturday or Sunday) approximately once every 5 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Must hold a valid, permanent Registered Nurse (RN) license for Ohio.
• Temporary licenses are NOT accepted.
• Primary source verification of license required within 30 days of start and must be updated upon expiration.
• License verification must be rerun every 2 years with RN license renewal.

Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)

Experience

• Specialty: RN Surgery
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN Surgery experience expected.

Health and Immunizations

• Ohio fingerprinting and FBI background checks as applicable based on residency duration.
• OIG exclusion check within 6 months prior to start.
• Drug screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, lab report required; instant screens not accepted).
• Employment verification for last 5 years.
• Education verification (including equivalency for international education).
• Skills checklist specific to clinical area completed within 1 year prior to start.
• Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
• Core competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) completed within 1 year prior to start.
• Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance.
