Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry I
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Day shift; may include up to 3 Saturdays per 6-week schedule period. Sundays off. Holidays assigned based on surgical volumes.
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for telemetry patients.
- Work primarily day shifts with some weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience must be within the last year.
Additional Information
- Must provide scanned copies of all required certifications and licenses with expiration dates.
- License verification must be dated within 30 days of start.
- Specialty competency exam must be current within one year.
- Agency will provide skills checklist for clinical contractors.
- Holidays are assigned based on surgical volume and may require work.
