Unit Information
- Level III Unit
- Patient population primarily adults with some pediatrics
- Focus on individualized nursing care for adult/geriatric patients
- The unit practices according to standards of nursing for adult/geriatric patients
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Missouri
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Pediatric Med Surg nursing experience
Skills & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
- Utilize theoretical nursing concepts in clinical decision-making
- Provide care consistent with standards of nursing practice
