Registered Nurse - OB/GYN ER Triage

Location: Jackson, Mississippi


Job Description

  • Work in a 10-bed OB/GYN ER triage unit that handles female health emergency patients, including OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, and some med-surg/female health cases.
  • Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients.
  • 12-hour shifts with rotation on weekends and holidays alongside permanent staff.
  • No on-call responsibilities.
  • Must be EPIC proficient; no EPIC training provided during orientation.
  • Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Mississippi
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
  • OB/GYN experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Certifications required:
    • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

Contract Length

  • Approximately 15 weeks.

Additional Information

  • 12-hour day shifts.
  • Rotation includes weekends and holidays.
  • No call duties.
