Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule options: 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts
• Weekend shifts as needed
• May float to other units as required
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Must hold a current Ohio RRT license at time of submission

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Ohio RRT license (must be in hand at submission)
• NBRC credential (CRT or RRT accepted)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required if working in Emergency Department (RRT only)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for NICU specialty (if applicable)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

• Completion of unit-specific competency exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Completion of online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours)
• Badge photo and badge pickup required before starting assignment
• Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, with at least 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Skills checklist specific to unit required, updated annually

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Candidates may be required to float to other units within the facility system
• Fingerprinting must be completed promptly as results can take up to 30 days and cannot pend at start
• All required documents and certifications must be submitted with application
