• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: Vary by shift; nights typically 1:6-1:7 (not guaranteed)
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Telemetry nursing experience within the last year

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and with medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize outcomes and comfort
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in compliance with professional standards and regulations
• Maintain professional accountability and evaluate effectiveness of care provided by self and others

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking during shifts
• Physical demands include bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs; minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Exposure to blood and body fluids considered high risk
• Flexibility to work varying schedules and shifts as needed

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 through April 1; declinations not accepted
• Dress code: Black scrubs only
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires full week availability
• Holiday time off requests limited to one per assignment
• Time off requests must be made on the back end of the assignment, not during the first week
