Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Nampa, Idaho
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a birth center setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Idaho
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Current STABLE certification
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Fit Test
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- COVID-19 vaccination proof or approved exemption (booster required by Sept 2025)
- Influenza vaccine proof or approved exemption (valid for upcoming flu season)
- MMR vaccination proof or immunity confirmation
- Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
- Varicella vaccination proof or immunity confirmation
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements)
- Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Color vision screening
Professional and Background Requirements
- Resume and skills checklist updated within the last year
- Two professional references
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) dated within 30 days of start
- Social Security Number verification
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED)
- Exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG, NSO) dated within 30 days of start
- Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreements
- Specialty-specific competency testing and Joint Commission CORE exam completed within the last year
- System access form completed one week before start
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
Additional Notes
- All licenses and certifications must be verified with scanned copies uploaded within 30 days of start date.
- Documentation must include front and back images of certification cards where applicable.
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position.
This position offers an opportunity to work a night shift in a Labor and Delivery unit with a comprehensive credentialing and compliance process to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
