Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a medical-surgical oncology unit with 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (schedule reviewed every 4 weeks; shift changes based on staffing needs, not guaranteed).
- Patient population primarily includes those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy, soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services and symptom management, and management of comorbidities.
- Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention.
- Special equipment used: GE telemetry system (B450 monitors), bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- Accessing ports.
- Arterial line management.
- PICC line management.
- Assist with chest tube insertion/removal.
- High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management.
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
