Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks


Job Description

  • Work on a medical-surgical oncology unit with 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (schedule reviewed every 4 weeks; shift changes based on staffing needs, not guaranteed).
  • Patient population primarily includes those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy, soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services and symptom management, and management of comorbidities.
  • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention.
  • Special equipment used: GE telemetry system (B450 monitors), bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio.
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Accessing ports.
  • Arterial line management.
  • PICC line management.
  • Assist with chest tube insertion/removal.
  • High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management.
  • Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs).
