    Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)

    Location: Los Angeles, California
    Contract Length: 13 weeks
    Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    Hours per Week: 40


    Job Description

    • Position in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
    • Requires 2 years of Registered Nurse experience

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Cardiac Cath Lab experience totaling 2 years, including experience within the last year
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
    • Education verification via transcript, diploma, or equivalent
    • Fire Card issued by an LAFD-approved instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start (Blue Fire Card only; Red card not accepted)
    • Signed job description and facility-specific access forms required
    • De-escalation training attestation and assault response competency (ARC) training required within 30 days of start (live 4-hour training)
    • Voluntary meal waiver and arbitration agreement required

    Health and Immunization Requirements

    • Physical exam clearance within the past year
    • Fit mask testing within 12 months prior to start (acceptable masks: 3M Aura 9205+ or 3M 1860 Small)
    • Negative TB test (QGold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD) within 12 months or chest x-ray if past positive
    • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
    • COVID vaccination plus booster or documented declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (September–March)
    • Positive titers required for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella; low titers require booster, declination not accepted except for Hepatitis B with proof of prior vaccination or negative titer
    • 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
    • Color vision test (14-plate Ishihara) required for Cath Lab specialty

    Orientation and Competency

    • Completion of general orientation, unit-specific competency, CORE competency, and unit tour checklists within first 30 days of assignment
    • Annual skills checklist required

    References and Application

    • 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
    • Employment application required
