Description
Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Oncology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 18:45 - 7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Float nurse position within Medical Surgical/Oncology units.
- Required to float within scope to other Medical Surgical units as needed.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).
- First-time travel nurses accepted.
- Local candidates are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
- Oncology nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during work hours.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years. International background check if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
- Transcript or diploma required for RNs in Cath Lab and EP Lab; not a barrier to start.
- Photo for badge: clear headshot with no visible nose piercing.
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health (no expiration).
- Annual fit mask test required (N95 or equivalent).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines.
- Immunizations or titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella. Boosters required if titers are low or equivocal.
- 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant acceptable).
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 1). Unvaccinated must wear a mask onsite.
- Completion of facility-specific online orientation and acknowledgment prior to start.
- Stroke education and acknowledgment required if working at facility for one year or longer.
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- If previously worked at the facility for over 1 year, a performance evaluation within 1 year of start date is required; otherwise, 2 professional references within 1 year of start date are accepted.
- Complete employment application/resume required.
Notes
- Floating to other Medical Surgical units is mandatory as part of the role.
- Weekend shifts are every other weekend.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
