- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
Job Description
- Primarily assigned to Emergency Department (ED) holding position
- Must be willing to float to Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) units when not utilized in ED holding
- Responsibilities include:
- Performing clinical procedures such as IV insertion, Foley catheterization, and wound dressings
- Accurate and thorough patient assessments and documentation
- Effective patient and family education
- Safe medication administration and use of telemetry monitoring and ventilators
- Recognizing changes in patient condition and acting as patient advocate
- Working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintaining professional appearance and completing tasks timely
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with ED experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by AHA or ARC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by AHA or ARC
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
