Description
NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: San Francisco, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Level III NICU care including surgical patients, gestational age 23 weeks and up
- Experience with cooling therapy, all respiratory modes, PICC lines, bronchoscopy, LISA, VCUG, MRI, swallow studies, and line insertion
- Float to pediatrics, PICU, and nursery units as needed
Shift Details
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900 - 0730)
- No call required
- Every other weekend off
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including:
- Job description review and signature
- Standards of Business Conduct
- Vendor training and Code of Conduct (updated for 2024 and 2025 contracts)
- TB screening questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider
- Respiratory safety clearance (renewed annually)
- References:
- 2 professional references required for clinical acute care candidates
- Attestations or verifications required for employment history gaps over 30 days; gaps over 1 year may lead to contract cancellation
