Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Mequon, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Float position covering multiple departments based on need, including:

  • Acuity Adaptable Unit (AAU) with mixed patient types
  • Medical/Surgical
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • Emergency Department (ED) boarded patients
• May require floating onsite within skill set and potentially to sites within a 40-mile radius
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least 1 year within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Onboarding includes completion of specific modules and attestations prior to or at start
• Some optional checklists may be required by unit leaders after start
• Must be able to work extended hours and float as needed within skill set and geographic area

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with step-down or telemetry experience who are comfortable working in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility and prior travel nursing experience.
