RN ICU - Brookfield, Wisconsin
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
- Floating: May be required to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) with minimum 80% passing score
- Ascension EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
- Color vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
- NIH certification updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group
- Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days
- Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start and updated annually or after break in service > 90 days
- Signed assignment agreement and onboarding attestations completed prior to or onsite at start
- Profile/resume and at least two professional references required prior to assignment
Additional Notes
- Must be able to work every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
- Must complete all required documentation and testing prior to or at onboarding as specified
- Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of start
This position is suited for experienced ICU RNs with travel experience who are comfortable working night shifts and flexible with floating within a 40-mile radius. Compliance with extensive credentialing, testing, and health requirements is mandatory.
