Description
Physical Therapist Traveler Position
Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (06:00 - 16:30)
Job Description
- Provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary disorders.
- Perform duties in accordance with Physical Therapy and hospital policies, as well as state and federal regulatory licensing and accrediting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- DCI/BVP certification
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration.
- Completion of sexual harassment prevention training valid for 2 years.
- COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B (no declinations accepted), Influenza (no declinations accepted during flu season), and Tdap (no declinations accepted).
- Tuberculosis (TB) test within one year of start date.
- Annual respirator fit test completed prior to start.
- Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work.
- National criminal background check within one year of start date.
- Drug screening within 60 days of start (minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test as required by California law).
- Driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
- Completion of core competencies exam, specialty exam, and skills checklist with a minimum score of 80%.
- Completion of workplace violence prevention training.
- Submission of updated resume and two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).
- Signed job description from within the current year.
- Badge photo (clear headshot with plain background).
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
- Agency attestation form completed after all credentials are uploaded.
- Search of excluded individuals database (SAM/EPLS) with visible date of search.
Additional Information
- Annual color-blind test required.
- Some onboarding documents and training are facility-specific and must be completed prior to clearance.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
