ICU Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract
Location: Crescent City, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 19:15 - 7:15)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel contract position. The role requires working every other weekend and being on call/call off based on census.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Every other weekend required
- On call/call off based on patient census
Additional Notes
- Official transcripts/diplomas or attestation of verification attempts required for education verification
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start
- TB questionnaire must be completed and signed by a qualified healthcare provider within 90 days of start and renewed annually
- Candidates with religious or medical exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and obtain approval
- ICU RNs at some locations may be required to take an EKG exam onsite after start
- Background checks and credential verifications have specific timelines and renewal requirements
This position is ideal for ICU RNs with solid critical care experience, required certifications, and the ability to work night shifts on a travel contract basis in California.
