Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Requirements & Commitments

• Must start on or before June 8th
• Must commit to working on both July 4th and Labor Day holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Employment Practices Liability Screening (EPLS)
• MOAB Moderate Risk certification
• Successful completion of EKG exam
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific onboarding including:

  • Core competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) with minimum 80% passing score
  • EKG exam with passing score of at least 80% (two attempts allowed)
  • Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation
  • Nursing contract worker onboarding (onsite)
  • Education attestation and verification relevant to clinical work (must be completed within 90 days of start)
  • Skills checklist for specialty, updated annually
• Health and immunization documentation:

  • MMR: documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by provider (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap: valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine: optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing required
  • Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual questionnaire required
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Drug screening: 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Background checks and verifications:

  • Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender registry, and others within 30 days of assignment
  • EPLS check within 90 days of start
  • Employment verification for past 7 years
• Additional documentation:

  • Resume/profile submission required
  • Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead
  • Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
