Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

• Fort Mohave, Arizona

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

• Labor & Delivery unit with 9 beds
• Level 1 Trauma center and Well Baby Center
• Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and neonates
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity
• Equipment includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, and syringe pumps
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems: Med Host and Centricity

Schedule & Hours

• PM shift
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend work required every other weekend (days on Saturday/Sunday, nights on Friday/Saturday)
• No call requirements
• No float requirements

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) intermediate or advanced certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)
• Postpartum nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current NRP certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• AWHONN certification
• Stable and reliable professional demeanor

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Centricity EHR
• Experience in labor, postpartum, well baby care, and stabilization of critical newborns for transfer

Common Diagnoses & Treatments

• Term and late preterm indications
• Gestational hypertension
• Gestational diabetes
